Dr. Phu-My Nguyen Gep has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the York Region since 2000. She opened Woodbridge Kids Dentistry in 2004, in order to provide high-quality, comprehensive child and adolescent dental services. She speaks Vietnamese (but with a Western accent; as criticized by her staff).
Dr. Gep received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Minnesota in 1996. She completed an internship year in Special Care Dentistry, which included rotations through the Hospital for Sick Children, Princess Margaret Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, Weenebayko Hospital in Moose Factory (and native coastal communities), and the Pediatric Dental Clinic at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Gep completed her Pediatric Dental Specialty Masters (M.Sc,) degree at the University of Toronto in 2000. This additional education focused on child psychology, child growth and development, pediatric health, anesthesia, hospital-based dentistry, interceptive and minor orthodontics, and care for special needs patients. Her specialty training included a particular interest in dental traumatology.
Dr. Gep is trained to identify, treat, and prevent many areas of care that are unique to children and adolescents. This is why, just as parents choose a pediatrician for their child’s medical health, many wise parents choose a pediatric dentist for their child’s dental health.
Dr. Gep is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC), an organization that promotes the high standard of dental specialization, and a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). Dr. Gep also is also a member of, and supports, several dental organizations; and participates and presents in various continuing education seminars throughout the year.
In addition, Dr. Gep is a demonstrator for the preclinical pediatric dental laboratory course at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Milkovich is an anesthetist with 13 years of experience. He holds priveleges at William Osler Healthcare Centre and Headwaters Healthcare Centre.
Dr. Wojtasik is a Royal College of Physicians Surgeon of Canada Certified Anaesthetist and an affiliated member of the Anaesthesia Department of Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga.
Over the past several years Dr. Wojtasik has developed particular interest in anaesthesia for ambulatory surgery. In 20 years of private practice, Dr. Wojtasik has delivered approximately 100,000 anaesthetics. In his practice, Dr. Wojtasik is using state of the art monitoring equipments and anaesthesia techniques. He is a very respected and much sought after anaesthetist workign with selected dentists and surgeons in Toronto and surrounding areas.
